It would be a difficult proposition to accuse Richard Roxburgh of laziness – the Aussie actor has taken on the dual tasks of filming a new TV drama by day while directing a local theatre production each night. And the directing part of the equation is something that Roxburgh, who has made a name for himself in Hollywood in recent years with roles in Mission Impossible II and Van Helsing, is relishing.
He's directing Ray's Tempest (the last production to grace the Belvoir St Theatre before extensive refurbishments) and will star in the forthcoming ABC drama, Silence.
Roxburgh said his Italian actress wife Silvia Colloca, whom he met on the set of Van Helsing, urged him to direct the play.
"She pushed me to do this . . . said I'd be out of my mind not to do it, as it was part of my original dream," he said.
In January, Roxburgh will make his debut as a film director, on the Eric Bana flick Romulus My Father. He's also set to join his wife in Europe, where he'll put his newly-acquired language skills to use in an Italian film. "My Italian's pretty good now – it has been a couple of years," he said. As for starting a family with his new wife, though – that particular project will have to wait. "We'd have to be living in the same country first," he said. |

I'm really sorry to say that I haven't updated this web site lately...
The reason why?
Well, I've been working on recoding the existing pages that are here so far and it's a little time consuming. Basically all the stuff that I've been doing is really kind of "behind the scenes" work. So it looks like I've been really lazy, although I sware I've been working on fixing all the problems with this site. Hopefully, once I'm finished recoding this web site, it will load a lot faster and more efficiently. Also, it should work better on other internet browsers besides Internet Explorer.
So please excuse the mess, things will be out of sorts for a little bit. As soon as I'm done with writing all of this new HTML code then I will be back to updating as soon as possible. It should take me about one more week and then hopefully I'll be done! |

Hungarian website Moziplussz.hu reports that production of Steven Spielberg's upcoming 1972 Munich Olympics movie Vengeance starts filming in Hungary this June.
Starring Eric Bana and Daniel Craig, the movie is about a Mossad agent (Bana), who tracks Palestinian terrorists who assassinated Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. According to Hungarian newspaper Népszabadság, pre-production already and secretly began in Budapest.
This will be star Daniel Craig's third visit to Hungary. Last year he had a cameo role in the Holocaust-drama Fateless (based on the Nobel Prize-winning novel, the movie is coming to U.S. theaters later this year). Népszabadság asked Craig for more details about Vengeance, but he could only confirm the facts above.
"If I'd tell you more details about the script, Spielberg would probably break my arm," he laughed. According to the actor, there will be an official press statement in two weeks.
Spielberg is expected to start on Indiana Jones 4 after completing this project. |
