What is RSS?
As Google puts it, "Now you can spend your time reading what you care about most".
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an file used to provide news updates from a website to your computer. You can use an RSS feed file to read or display any recent updates to any news topic or any website that has an RSS feed file available. Think of it as a distributable "What's New" for your site and it alerts you if there are any updates.
How do I read or use RSS messages?
You need an RSS reader website or any RSS reader software, sometimes called a news aggregator. Most of the reader software is freeware.

What is an RSS Reader ?
An analogy, the news reader acts like a cutomizable newspaper.
An RSS Reader is a website or software used to look at RSS feeds and pass the information back to your computer.
RSS Readers collect news in the background and alert the user with a little popup in the system tray when an update to a particular site is avalible. Then you can click the icon to see a short description of the update and then open the original web page in a browser window.
How do I read messages in a RSS reader or news aggregator ?
Just enter the URL listed below. Please check the instructions for your individual program/service.

Adding This Site to the Google Reader

First you need a Google Account.
If you don't already have a free Google account you can go here to get one: Google Account.
Then to subscribe to this feed.
Go to the Google Reader. Click on "enter the feed URL" then click on "Edit Subscriptions" at the top of the page. Then click on "Add a feed".
Enter the following text
into the blank next to "Feed URL":

Then click on "Preview", now you will be able to see the updates to this site on the left. Click on "Subscribe" at the top of the page to add the feed to your list of web site updates.
Google Home Page Updates

If you use Google as your home page for your internet browser then you can
use RSS feeds to get up the minute updates on your Google Home Page.
Here's how:
You must have a free Google account. Once you have one go to Google.com
look up to the top of the page.
Click on "Personalized Home" this is your Personalized Home page if you
choose to make it so.
Look to the top left hand side of the page.
You will see "Add content"
Click on this.
Look down the list for "Create a Section" underneath that is a blank that
says "Search by topic or feed URL". Enter the URL of the RSS feed that you
are interested in. Then click "Go".
The updates will be included on your 'Personalized Home'. The home page
will display links to the articles and topics that have been updated on a
daily basis. If you click on these links they will take you directly to
the articles and updates on those websites.
